Our youth exchange program builds bridges across cultures, as well as well as help youth learn more about themself and the world we live in. Sister Cities of Franklin & Williamson County host exchanges with County Laois Ireland, and Bad Soden, Germany.

THE GREAT PUMPKIN – PumpkinFest
The Sister Cities booth a Franklin’s annual Pumpkinfest highlights the “Great Pumpkin”, a contribution from our Sister City in Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada. Each year, followers track the pumpkin on social media, as it makes its trip from Carleton Place to Franklin to be displayed during Pumpkinfest.

CELEBRATION OF NATIONS
On January 13, 2024, we enjoyed a global journey at the "Celebration of Nations," where international acts came together for a family-friendly extravaganza! There was music from around the world, featuring performances by Giovanni Rodriguez Musical Duo, Chinese Arts Alliance, the Nashville International Folk Dancers, and the incredible Franklin High School Orchestra members. This showcase fostered a shared appreciation for the diverse traditions that make our world extraordinary. Over 100 people of all ages attended an event that transcended borders and celebrated the richness of our global heritage!
