Because of health concerns 2020 Pumpkinfest has been cancelled. The Heritage Society has a new date set for October 30th 2021. Please check back here later in the fall for a Virtual Event with our friends in Carleton Place.

Pumpkinfest
The Sister Cities booth at Franklin’s Annual Pumpkinfest Festival highlights the “Great Pumpkin”, a contribution from our Sister City in Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada. Pumpkinfest was attended by more than 50,000 people and the Pumpkin’s trip from Carleton Place to Franklin has been followed by hundreds on twitter and facebook.

There will be kids games that are favorites from each country where our Sister Cities are located: put-put into a pumpkin ( Ireland), kids street hockey into a carved pumpkin (Canada), Pumpkin Hammerschlagen with golf tees (Germany)
